The Truth about CheeseMongers, Reds, and SoulStealers   1 comment

Wha? oh those are the names of My 3 Fantasy Football Teams. :)

So as we near the ‘Fantasy Football Trading Deadlines, I thought I would write up the ‘rules’ or ‘how to’ and ‘how not to’ article on Fantasy Football Trading.  I mean after all Hell I’ve been playing Fantasy Football in different forms for 12 years right…

Then I thought, hell….I bet others have written it better than I ever could (I’m not really a very good written communicator after all…and I know that), So I looked around and found these…

Some  I agree with.

And what ESPN says

And my Take –

Here is the most unsung part about Trading in my opinion….

Your bench – Unless you are playing matchups every week or have an injury prone player, then you don’t need a lot of depth once you are past the bye weeks. So for the love, if you have starters on your bench start looking for ways to package them and get “stud” players.  Or if you have depth say you can only start 3 RB per week but you have 5 Starting RB on your team…well damn it trade at least one of them, get a WR or package two of them to get a BETTER RB.  Its all about helping out each other…while (and this is the most important part) increasing YOUR teams weekly output!  Remember its all about making the playoffs with the best team you can put forth.

No I’m not saying trade away all of your depth…but some of it…yea that’s ok just keep enough around to handle the ‘odd’ injury. Remember you get to the playoffs through depth, but you win the league with your starters.

  1. Man, those last two guys were Jackasses! But then, there has to be lots of folks like that out there. The Fantasy world (not just football but ALL of it..) will easily pull in the uber competitive asshats because what’s better than being an asshat?? being a “behind the computer screen asshat!” ha..ha…ha..

Hey… I’ve traded… I’ve traded at least twice in the league. Granted, both of them have been with you, but then..I talk to you about FF alllll the time too. :)

You are going down in flames you Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey! ha…ha…ha…!

    Woot… Swamp Dragons Rule!!
