Yes I love the SCA. It is a wonderful hobby, which I find excruciatingly enjoyable.
However, no matter how good this picture is, and it is VERY nice…this lovely lady is NOT your typical SCA belly dancer.

No matter how true this statement is…she is still not the typical SCA belly dancer.
Now I would be MUCH more inclined to sit around and enjoy a hafla and drumming if she were. But, again, she is NOT the typical SCA belly dancer.
No that outfit isn’t really ‘period’ but I don’t care….That isn’t the reason she isn’t the typical SCA belly dancer.
It is possible, and even given the picture probable that you could see someone who looks that good dancing at an SCA Hafla. And you will see some women do some amazing dances at them as well with great shows of talent and ability. The really good ones will be dressed in more ‘appropriate’ garb. It is uncommon to see one that looks that good dressed like that in the more ‘I dream of Genie” style outfit.
but usually what you see dressed like that dancing at an SCA hafla…should NEVER be dressed like that.
IT is sad, but true….you occasionally have to have some real blinders at times. But that is always the case…same thing with sci/fi cons.
No I don’t know her, and no I’ve never seen her before this photograph.
You are sooooo right! But I do appreciate all of those that work at it and contribute in whatever way they can.
+++ Oh don’t get me wrong I’m appreciative of those who CAN dance, and I’m appreciative of those who do it in a period fashion, but I’m also appreciative of those who don’t do it in a period fashion but look like this doing it.

I have to wonder A.) if this really was taken at an SCA event and B.) if this person is aware of what her photo is being used for and C.) if she is aware that it is now allllll over the internet.
+++ ‘Scare’ is not what I would say her boobs do for me…but to each their own.
A. – Dunno looks like it though. B. – I would hope so…it looks like she new the picture was being taken. C – Again not sure I didn’t take this picture (I just stole it fair and square) however if she sees it and would like me to take it down I will happily do so when she asks…until then, I’ll just enjoy the view. 
+++UPATE+++ After taking a closer look at this picture, and seeing some of the other folks in it…I would summize it was likely taken at either a Sci/Fi Con or at Pennsic. (which would only moderately classify as an SCA event)
