Event Report – Silverhammer 09

Katerina Caspar and I went to Shiverhammer this past weekend.

Got there early Friday evening and hung out with some nice folks.  Wolfgang was back on leave.  It was FANTASTIC to see him.  He brought me a present from Iraq (Mesopotamia) which actually linked me back to my previous visit to that nation….circles.

Wolfie

Hung out with friends and had a good time.  Stayed in the “heated” cottage with their TRH (thanks!)  – it had horrible parking!  other than that and the dwarf stairs it was fab!

Slept in a bit Saturday morning since it was raining and nasty.

Tournament had already started when we arrived, my squire Leyli finished 3rd.  Very proud of her for that, oh and Ailgheanan won.

Did some pickups in the rain, that was fun. slipped and busted my fell in the mud 3 times. lots of fun. :)

Watched Corbin win the Silverhammer fencing tournament, that was interesting to watch. (Congrats Corbin)

Later that evening I made some fortified Lime Juice shared some with Ianka (my own personal bad idea bear) and Bridgett – Later that evening the two of them hooked up with Glenna and apparently gathered super human tequila radar – and assailed me all night attempting to “help me” with my “lime juice” every time I poured one. ;)

We had a Tequila Tasting that involved Erick, Aidan and myself doing taste test between JC-1800 repasado, Patron Silver and Hornitos.

To our surprise the 1800 won, it was surprisingly just smoother.   This is difficult for me because Jose Cuervo is NOT a friend of mine…and I tend to think of Jose Cuervo as Mixing Tequila not “sipping or shooting” tequila. this is because Jose gives me a hang over and Cabo and Patron do not.  The 1800 + 2 bottles of water = no hang over.

I think I still need to test it against Cabo Reposado…Anyone want to help?

Later folks (yea I’m going to try to post more here.)
